Today in hiphop history the Def Jam president releases his ninth studio album Kingdom Come in 2006. This album was considered to be a comeback album for Hov from his last album the black album when he announced retirement. When this album came out i heard people question whether or not was this album good, did it live up to his previous work, and did hov fall off a little bit with Kingdom Come.

My honest opinion about the album from the first time i listened to it to years later is that i liked it. When it dropped i bought the physical copy after school and ran home just to listen to it. I enjoyed listening to songs such as the prelude, kingdom come, 30 something, trouble, dig a hole, lost one, and minority report.

Of course it wasn’t better than the black album and he wasn’t going to go back to reasonable doubt Hov us but on the project i felt him maturing and not trying to do what everyone else was doing. 1-10 i would give it a 7.
