Also Ferg held his first annual Ferg health fair day in Harlem. Besides having activities for the youth at the event Ferg also had physical and mental check ups available for them as well. Ferg was inspired to do this event by his father D-Ferg, who passed away days before he was about to receive a kidney transplant.

“Growing up, my Dad always emphasized the vitality of giving back to the community and making sure we never gave up on our dreams. His encouragement motivated me to never settle and he’s the reason I am where I am today, but I’m not the only one. My dad spent his life helping kids in the community stay off the streets and make something of themselves. He may be gone but his legacy lives on through the people of our neighborhood and all the lives he touched.”

We over here at The Music Plug NYC salute ASAP Ferg for giving back to his community in a positive way. That is what it’s all about encouraging, inspiring, and helping people especially back to the youth and where we came from.
