The news portrays Hip Hop as bad and negative but, during this video you can clearly see how the culture and K Dot’s song effected these students in a positive way. During a protest with police students at CSU started chanting parts of Kendrick Lamar’s song Alright from his album To Pimp A Butter Fly. This is why rappers like Kendrick Lamar are needed because he stands for something fox news recently tried to say Kendrick has done more damage to African Americans than racism. I guess they never listened to GKMC or TPAB to know he is pushing the culture forward in a positive way.
