Cheech is the 21year old out of Brooklyn, NY that has been working on this music thing for a few years now. For someone who started experimenting with music at an early age he later then started to take things more serious in the year 2012 with the release of his Mixtape “Runnin Outta Options“. Him and his 2 other associates Cap Colorado & BoyBillion$ started up a collective back in 09′ called “Money Talks Association” in hopes to collectively bring back a long awaited NY sound that isnt “traditional” NY but isn’t that far from it. Growing up in both Atlanta & New York, has helped to shape his music inspiration and creative taste. Hooking up with VersusAndCo in 2012-13 they started the “Trapvilla” Media Brand and began to hit NY streets spreading the Trapvilla word that Cheech and other associates are next up out of New York. This leading to releasing songs, and merch that led to working with artist like A La Sole & Dessy Hinds of Pro Era. As well as NY’s own Sleepercamp members, Jimi Tents & Jay Bel on a collaborative project for Trapvilla. Now with the release of his latest project “OASIS“, he wants to show that everything with him is versatile. Don’t get comfortable hearing the same kind of “Get high” music or whatever people want to label it. Every project will and is example of all the types of styles I have to offer while still being Cheech. He stresses there’s no such thing as a NY sound anymore and he’s working in every which way to express that the sounds coming out of NY now are what fans have to get used too and understand it’s forever going to evolve. But it just like him, it’ll forever be NY
